100 Miles of Beauty: Inishowen Peninsula, Co Donegal

by | Jun 19, 2012 | Donegal, Religious Sites, Scenic Spots

The Inis Eoghain 100 (Inishowen) is a 100 mile long scenic drive around the Inishowen peninsula in County Donegal. It is a lovely day trip, showing beaches, sea cliffs, charming towns and all sorts of Irish delights.

Technically it starts in Bridgend, but you can start wherever you wish.

Don’t miss delights such as Kinnagoe Bay, a serene sandy beach surrounded by rocky cliffs, or the Wee House of Malin, an ancient ruined monastic church site on a rocky point. There are thatched cottages dotted here and there, of course.

Do be careful – our TomTom GPS unit sent us up over a mountain on a sheep track!
