A Sea of Celtic Crosses at Na Seacht dTeampaill: Eoghanacht, Co Galway

Na Seacht dTeampaill, or the Seven Churches, is a ruin of several ancient churches on the island of Inis Mor, the largest of the Aran Islands in County Galway. The site is near the middle of the island, and can be reached in many ways from the main port town of Kilronan. It’s about 5 miles in, and a lovely long walk, bike ride. Alternatively, you can hire one of the many pony traps or taxis that ferry tourists around the sites on the island. It’s a short distance past the Man of Aran Cottage and Dún Aonghasa (Dun Aengus).
