A Sweet Stop at the Chocolate Garden of Ireland: Rath, Co Wicklow/Carlow

by | Jun 28, 2012 | Carlow, Counties, Food & Drink, Kids, Wicklow

Nestled at the edge of County Wicklow, the Chocolate Garden of Ireland is a treat for travelers of any age.

While the Chocolate Garden is a tasty stop any day, if you can plan ahead to attend one of their Chocolate Workshops, your whole day will be sweeter.  The hands-on workshop includes a bit of chocolate history, quite a few tastings and then the creation of your own chocolate souvenir to take home!

If you’re only stopping for a treat- or maybe for a few gifts- you’ll find a cozy cafe to enjoy a cuppa or a bit of Tipperary Original Ice Cream and a biscuit- two more items that are made, by hand, at the Chocolate Garden.  A large playground sits beside the building, offering kids a place to run off some energy- and maybe a bit of sugar.

The Chocolate Garden of Ireland is open daily; Mon – Sat 10am – 5pm and Sun 1 – 5.30pm.  Call for workshop schedules or book online.
