In the Burren? Eat at Kilshanny House!

by | Jan 3, 2012 | Clare, Food & Drink

Located along the N67 between Lisdoonvarna and Ennistymon, the village of Kilshanny is ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ small. The largest building in this wee village is Kilshanny House – the local pub and, in the spring, summer & fall months, one of the best restaurants you’ve never heard of.

A member of the Burren Food Trail, meals at Kilshanny House are made with hyper-local ingredients, most delivered the morning of the day they are served. I hesitate to call the food simple, as the taste is far from it. But real food served fresh just doesn’t need a lot of ‘extras’.

Kilshanny House is a fine public house where you’ll find locals gathering for a pint or a cappuccino in the afternoons and a bit of craic in the evening. Be sure to visit the Kilshanny House website for information on live entertainment and local events.
