Prayer Garden & Healing Priests: Kilcommon, Co Tipperary

by | May 23, 2012 | Graves, Hauntings & Mysteries, Religious Sites, Tipperary

In the village of Kilcommon, take in this beautiful, serene prayer garden. In spite of being a pilgrimage destination for many, there is nothing touristy about this spot. There are plenty of places to pray or meditate, or take a bit of Holy Water from St Colom’s Well. In recent years there has been the addition of a stunning wood sculpture of Jesus, done by a local Upperchurch man, Phil Bourke. Phil took up sculpting later in life, as well as fiddle making, and his work is exceptional.

Many visitors pay a visit to the graves of two healing priests who are buried beside the church.
