Quiet Solitude on Traught Beach – Tracht, Co Galway

by | Jul 8, 2012 | Galway, Nature & Gardens, Scenic Spots

As you drive around Galway Bay from Galway to Ballyvaughan, you can see the water wink in and out among the trees and hills. There is a small, secluded beach near the town of Tracht, not far from Kinvara. It is worth a quiet stop to enjoy the bay.

You can see Galway in the distance, even on a hazy day. If you venture there at night, the lights will twinkle in the darkness. The beach itself is wide and unencumbered – great for playing or meditation.
