Paddle with the Swans: Westport, Co Mayo

Garden paths and a noble estate contrast with a theme park and petting zoo to give Westport House a bit of an identity crisis. However, the acreage of the park manages to leave enough room for the vastly different experiences to coexist AND leaves room for a campground. Although they border on being tacky, the swan paddle boats in the lake offer a peaceful (if not exhausting) way to take in beautiful grounds from a different vantage.
