The Unique Aromas of the Burren Perfumery: Fahee, Co Clare

by | Jul 8, 2012 | Arts & Crafts, Clare, Food & Drink, Memorable Experiences, Scenic Spots

As you explore the karstic wonderland that is the Burren, take some time to stop at the Burren Perfumery. It is due east of Caherconnell, and not far from the village of Fahee. It is a lonely, dirt road leading to it – do not be discouraged! It is a hidden gem of scents and delight.

Within the complex, you can see how the products are made from local flora, a short film on the area, and see into the actual workshops. You can have a light meal at the cafe, and relax in the shady courtyard. It reminds me of a charming villa in the French countryside, really.
