Horseback Riding on the Beach: Caherdaniel, Co Kerry

by | Jul 11, 2012 | Animals, Kerry, Kids | 2 comments

Imagine riding horses on the beach, in County Kerry. The wind wafts from the sea, surrounding you with its salty scent, while you are grounded in a more physical reality – that of the horse. Each step he takes is a reminder that you are firmly here in the present, exploring the narrow paths and coastline of Ireland. You’ll be brushed against the ever-present fuchsia, pick some berries from on-high, and splash through tidal pools.

There are 14 horses in the stable, of all types and sizes (to accommodate all types and sizes). If you’ve not ridden before, the staff will definitely help you out throughout the entire ride.

It will be more Everything than you thought, and the friendliness of the horses and Caroline, the owner, combine to make it one of the best things you’ll do in Ireland.
