Millenium Forests: Woodford, Co Galway

by | Jun 3, 2012 | Galway, Hikes & Walks, Nature & Gardens

The Irish Government decided in 2001 to restore some of Irelands native forests by regenerating 16 sites.

We are lucky enough to have Two of these “Millenium” forests on our doorstep. With full public access these are great places to get out into the fresh air and walk yourself or your dog.

Whilst these places are still at the fledgling stage they will in the future be even more amazing places for our grandchildren than they are now.
