Pallas Castle: Tynagh, Co Galway

by | May 19, 2017 | Castles, Galway, Hikes & Walks, Landmarks & Buildings

Built in the mid 13th century by Richard DeBurgo Pallas Castle in Tynagh is one of the best preserved Castle Keeps in Ireland but is largely unknown. The castle sits in a farm field and should be visited with respect for the farm and general countryside, close the gates and take home only what you brought with you.
